After Professor Longbottom woke him up, Scorpius groaned and rolled his eyes. “Thank you for waking me up, Professor. It’s not like I actually got any sleep last night.” He gave him a sarcastic nod accompanied by a grin as he walked away.
He looked over at Flint’s son, who is his seatmate’s paper, and groaned once again. He’d forgotten about the essay they had to do.
And so he decided to go to his favorite Weasley who seemed preoccupied staring into space. He walked in front of her and cleared his throat. As he heard Rose’s comment, he rolled his eyes and she stood up to give him a hug. He chuckled and returned her embrace, burrying his face into her hair. “So love, how’s your essay going?”
“I finished a few days ago and turned it in a little early,” she said and took his hand as she sat down, pulling him down with her. “And how’s your’s going?” She asked, turning toward him slightly and smiling. She was glad that their relationship was back to normal; she had missed the teasing and late night walks around the castle more than she cared to admit. But most of all, she had missed having Scorpius with her all the time. Sitting here on the couch with him was just so perfect, it seemed surreal. She hoped she didn’t mess things up this time, he needed her as much as she needed him.

Rose looked into the mirror one last time and tucked a long curl behind her ear before leaving the girl’s dormitory. She stopped as she exited, quickly glancing at the portrait of Snape, which eyed her suspiciously as she hurried down the corridor. She slowed down her pace to a slow walk as she neared the common room, her heart starting to race as she looked around for the familiar blonde boy..
She didn’t see Scorpius anywhere, just a few other seventh-years hurrying to finish a Herbology essay on the effects of Gillyweed that was due the next day. Rose, of course, had finished it days prior and turned it it, earning a smile and a remark about how much she was like her mother from Neville.
Rose heard someone clearing their throat, and looked up to see her favorite Malfoy smiling down at her. “Oi, you’re blocking my view of the lovely wall, you ferret,” She said as she smirked up at him. She held back a giggle as he rolled his eyes and she stood up and hugged him tightly.
